Property Accountant

Landmark Search Group is currently searching for a Property Accountant to join an established and growing team in the property accounting department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue to grow their accounting experience and learn in one of Vancouver's most dynamic industries. Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in property management accounting handing accounts payable/receivable, monthly reporting, and assisting in budgeting. Reporting into the Controller, successful candidates will be driven, professional, able to pick up quickly, and enjoy working in a team environment.

Duties include:

  • Generate tenant billings, including consumption utility billing, and percentage rent billing etc.
  • Reconciliation and review of subledgers: AR, AP and tenant ledgers
  • Respond to tenant queries
  • Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement package
  • Posting and reviewing monthly recurring/adjusting journal entries in Yardi
  • Complete packaging of year end working papers, annual budgets and related schedules
  • Preparing complex recovery models
  • Preparation of other ad hoc reports as needed

Other duties:

  • Providing training and supervision to junior staff
  • Working with the other accountants to complete other accounting tasks.
  • Providing support to other accounting staff as required.
  • Other general accounting duties as assigned or requested by Management periodically.
