THE OPPORTUNITY
CONTEXT:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Ivalua as a Software Engineer, focused on supporting clients who have implemented the Ivalua Solution and are engaged in upgrading to new major R&D releases. As part of the Upgrade Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful application upgrades, delivering the latest enhancements, and supporting Ivalua's continued growth in North America. You will work closely with R&D, and project teams to help deliver high-quality solutions that address both immediate and long-term business needs.
ROLE:
Here at Ivalua, we are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our Upgrade Team. The mission of the team is to upgrade customer applications and deliver new R&D enhancements, operating with high quality standards and a strong commitment to excellence and efficiency. You will collaborate with colleagues who are hands-on, solution-oriented, and dedicated to solving complex challenges for our customers. The Upgrade Team values teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement, and you will have the opportunity to interact with both technical and business stakeholders across the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US
- Analyze upgrade requests and discuss new features and impacts with clients.
- Use the Ivalua Buyer technical framework (C# .NET & SQL) to configure and customize solutions to meet specific business requirements.
- Perform reverse engineering and debugging to resolve project issues throughout all phases of the upgrade cycle.
- Develop advanced configuration knowledge and leverage configuration features to minimize custom code.
- Interact with the R&D team on product features and act as a communication bridge between project teams and R&D.
- Manage deliveries and address technical operational issues as they arise.
- Contribute to peer code reviews and foster a culture of quality and knowledge sharing.
YOUR PROFILE
- 4+ years of experience in software development, primarily with C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
- Strong ability to understand complex functional and technical environments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring colleagues and project teams.
- Proficient in reading and writing SQL to optimize and review configurations.
- Comfortable prioritizing configuration solutions over new coding and development.
- Functional knowledge of SRM, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement is a plus.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with strong leadership and exceptional communication skills.
- Willingness to complete Ivalua's certification process to learn the Product.
- Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM processes.
- Ability to conduct business in English is required given our customer base; wherever possible, we will support the employee's right to work in French
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience with proven skills
