Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic dental office team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of dental office procedures and familiarity with electronic dental records systems.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and follow front desk operations while ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using cloud based dental software.
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communications effectively.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including verifying insurance information and collecting payments.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and enhance overall patient experience.
  • Utilize dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients regarding treatments and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems, along with familiarity with dental software.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
