BrainBoost Education, a values-driven learning centre in Vancouver, BC, is hiring a full-time educator with expertise in Math and supporting students with diagnosed learning disabilities and neurodivergent profiles. We are especially seeking someone with experience teaching students who learn differently - whether through neurodivergence, formal LD diagnoses, or non-traditional educational backgrounds.

Position Details:

• Role: Full-Time Educator (with a focus on Math and LD support)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: 40 hours per week (30 teaching hours plus 10 hours prep and collaboration time)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, one-on-one math instruction (Grades 6–12)
• Support students with diagnosed learning disabilities and other learning differences
• Tailor lessons to diverse learning styles and individual needs
• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
• Collaborate with a team of innovative, compassionate educators
• Document, reflect on and refine your teaching practices regularly

What We're Looking For:

Subject Expertise:

• Strong foundation in Math (Grades 6–12)
• Ability to support additional subjects (in Science or Humanities)

Teaching and Learning Support Experience:

• Experience teaching/mentoring young people (Grades 6-12)
• Experience supporting students with diagnosed learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia)
• Familiarity with neurodivergent learning profiles, including ADHD and autism, and strategies to support those learners

Teaching Style & Approach:

• Creative, flexible, student-centred
• Skilled in designing and delivering one-on-one instruction
• Committed to relational, inclusive, and strength-based teaching

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Demonstrated understanding of learning disabilities and instructional adaptations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort working in a dynamic, non-traditional educational setting
