We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Estimator to join a growing construction team specializing in ICI projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 5 to 7 years of estimating experience who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to the growth and development of an estimating department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction estimating practices and a passion for accuracy, leadership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the estimating process is completed accurately, efficiently, and aligns with client expectations
  • Review and analyze project documentation including RFPs, drawings, specifications, and addenda to fully understand the project scope, timelines, and requirements
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for take-offs and accurate pricing
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
  • Distribute tender documentation to subtrades and suppliers in a timely manner and follow up to ensure complete and competitive pricing is received
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing as required
  • Support and mentor junior estimating staff with the potential to build and lead a team in the future
  • Collaborate with internal teams including project managers and senior leadership to support bid strategy and execution

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience estimating ICI construction projects in Canada
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices
  • Proven ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications and prepare complete and accurate estimates
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as PlanSwift and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to job sites across the Greater Toronto Area as needed
