Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our team. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students in the subject of Science & Math. You will create engaging lesson plans, deliver instruction, and assess student progress.

Required:

  • able to teach Science 10-12 / Math 8-12

  • graduated from a highschool or secondary school in Canada **

Candidates who can teach Math or Science completely in English without any miscommunication due to language difference are only considered.

A candidate who can speak Korean (even though you can't teach in English) is very welcomed, but only those who graduated from a high school in Canada will be invited to our interview.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with BC curriculum and educational standards

  • Teach various concepts and question in Science 10 / Physics 11 / Chemistry 11 to students.

  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods and materials to engage students in the learning process

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration

  • Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects

  • Provide individualized support to students who require extra assistance or have special education needs

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching mathematics or science at the secondary level is highly desirable- Experience with tutoring or providing additional support to students is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
