Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $ $36.20. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.
Join Our Team as a CAD Design Technologist (Co-op)
Are you passionate about CAD Design? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our Facilities team. The CAD Design Technologist is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD.
- Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C's design standards.
- Ensure backup of all CAD designs.
- Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system.
- Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects follow project timelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C's drawing process.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What you'll Need To Succeed:
- Registered in a diploma or degree engineering co-op program (mechanical, industrial or manufacturing).
- Eligible for an 8-month Co-op Term (Summer & Fall 2026).
- Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD.
- Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
Physical Effort:
Normal or frequent minor physical effort is required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
Work Environment:
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
