Role description:

Arcadis' GTA offices is searching for a CAD Technician to join its growing team. Under the support and guidance of the SUE Deliveries Lead, the candidate is responsible for critical review and assimilating 3rd party utility information onto existing base plans, incorporation of Arcadis acquired Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) field data on to the drawings and overall drawing preparation including adherence to client CADD standards, adherence to SUE standards and depictions, itemizing and tabulating raw drawing information, drawing reproduction and report preparation.

Role accountabilities:

  • Conduct yourself in a courteous and professional manner at all times
  • Prepare detailed SUE drawings including legends, line attributes and critical review
  • Ensure all drawings and submittals meet Arcadis and/or client specifications
  • Develop and maintain a library of Arcadis SUE title blocks, attributes and standards
    • Calibrate incoming SUE field data with existing georeferenced survey plans, integrating our internal findings with 3rd party survey drawings
  • Maintain your skill set with up-to-date with CAD software and versions
  • Follow Arcadis QC/QA procedures and documentation processes
  • Print and check final drawings for Project Managers and Project Engineer's approval
  • Coordinate project drawings with Project Managers, Project Engineers and other support staff
  • Prepare presentation graphics and report figures for projects.
  • Assist with other Arcadis digital drafting assignments as required
  • All other duties assigned.

     

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Civil Technology, Engineering Design or equivalent
  • Comprehensive working knowledge with all current versions of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, MicroStation along with Microsoft Office; a working knowledge of and
  • experience with GIS systems would be a benefit
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills to work within a team and customer-oriented environment
  • Excellent English writing and verbal skills
  • Strong project management and technical writing skills
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this position is $28.00/hr - $35.00/hr. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
