We have an opportunity for an experienced cook for our Kitchen team.

This location is in the ground floor of an office building in the Heart of North York.

We have a Patio from May to Sep, which enhances our year long Weekend Brunch service including the traditional Eggs benedict, French Toast, Omelettes, and a whole section of Mexican Brunch.

Mon to Friday we have Breakfast, Sandwiches, Hot Lunch / Brunch & Corporate Catering orders.

We require flexibility of work schedule, depending on Catering Orders, the role may require some days to start earlier than 7am. Other days, the role may require to stay later than 3 to prep or cook for scheduled caterings.

Weekends we run a successful Weekend Brunch, 75% items classic North American Brunch, 25% of the items Mexican Brunch.

We would like to bring in an experienced cook, to join the team, who has flexibility to work weekdays / weekends.

At this point we are looking at 4 to 5 work days, with potential of more hours when there is a special catering or need to cover for another team member's vacation/time off.

Required:

• Fluent English is absolutely required

• Fluent Spanish is an asset

• Skill & confidence to cook in front of customers is a must

• Experience preparing Mexican Food

• Experience preparing banquet style or Corporate Catering food

• Experience preparing Brunch

• Experience preparing Sandwiches, salads, sauces. dressings, baking, plating

• Superior knife skills is a must

• Speed for prep is a must

• 100% accountability and control of inventory and freshness for all food items.

• Role model the highest cleanliness, and food preparation standards, every time.

• Speed and thoroughness to clean kitchen & dishes/trays

• Excellent communication & teamwork skills

Physical work requirements

Standing for long periods of time

Pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 25lb at times when required
