ABOUT THE ROLE

The Art Director is a conceptual thinker and visual leader responsible for translating strategy into bold, inspiring creative that builds belief in our clients' brands and drives results. • Represent LPi Group as a creative expert, proactively identifying ways to grow client brands through fresh, impactful design thinking.

Leadership & Direction

  • Provide day-to-day creative leadership to the design team—mentoring, inspiring, and guiding designers through concept, development and production while ensuring brand integrity and consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Champion a culture of positivity, mentorship and continuous learning, where ideas are shared opening, constructive feedback is welcomed and team members feel supported to grow.
  • Demonstrate a proficient understanding of emerging design and cultural trends, including colour theory, typography, layout and composition to ensure creative remains fresh, relevant and impactful in the shopper marketing landscape.
  • Invest in understanding client brands, including visual standards and tone.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects, ensuring all deadlines are met within allocated budgets.
  • Follow project development and provide guidance on concepts through studio development, proactively communicating with project / team leads, providing progress updates to ensure deliverables are provided within the prescribed timelines.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • You have 5+ years of experience in increasingly senior design roles, ideally agency experience
  • Proven ability to lead concept ideation and drive creative vision across multiple channels and media.
  • An attentive listener with an ability to problem solve based on internal direction or client feedback.
  • Strong understanding of shopper marketing, retail environments, and how design influences consumer behaviour.
  • Curiousity for emerging design, cultural, and technology trends, and the ability to translate them into relevant creative ideas.
  • Completion of an accredited design program or equivalent design-related field.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design approaches and solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Design Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Dimensions), Excellence in Photoshop an asset.
  • Experience with 3D software (such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or Adobe Substance etc.) and motion/video tools (After Effects, Premiere, or similar) is highly valued. Web & digital design including HTML 5, FIGMA, UX & 3D structural design is an asset.
