Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of our commercial mixed-use and multi-family construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.

Team Management: Lead and mentor on-site construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a collaborative and productive work environment.

Quality Control: Monitor construction processes to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, addressing any potential delays or issues proactively.

Budget Management: Manage project budgets and expenses, including change orders and cost tracking, to ensure financial targets are met.

Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the construction process.

Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of project progress, including daily reports, inspections, and incident reports.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any construction-related issues or conflicts in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role, with a proven track record in managing commercial mixed-use and multi-family construction projects.

Education: Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Knowledge: Proficient in construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations specific to commercial and multi-family construction.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid, WHMIS) are preferred.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
