About the Role

We're working with a Fire Engineering consultancy looking to expand its presence across Quebec. They are seeking a Fire Engineering professional with strong business development experience and a deep understanding of the Montreal/Quebec construction and engineering markets.

This role blends technical fire engineering expertise with relationship-building and growth strategy, making it ideal for someone who wants to take on a visible, client-facing position and help shape the company's growth in Quebec.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support fire protection engineering projects across the Quebec region

  • Develop new business opportunities and expand client relationships (developers, architects, owners, GCs)

  • Promote the firm's fire engineering services through networking, proposals, and client meetings

  • Contribute to strategic growth planning and market positioning in Quebec

  • Prepare and review technical reports, fire safety plans, code analyses, and performance-based designs

  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality results for clients

  • Attend industry events, associations, and client presentations as a brand ambassador

What You Bring:
  • 5–10+ years of fire protection engineering or fire and life safety consulting experience

  • Strong network and BD experience in the Quebec engineering and construction industry

  • Excellent knowledge of the Quebec Building Code, National Building Code, and relevant NFPA standards

  • Ability to develop proposals, win work, and manage client relationships

  • French/English bilingualism strongly preferred (client-facing role)

  • PEng or other applicable certification considered an asset

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently

Why This Opportunity Stands Out:
  • High-visibility role leading market expansion in Quebec

  • Strong autonomy and influence over client strategy and growth

  • Opportunity to develop a long-term career with a respected Fire Engineering consultancy

  • Competitive salary, benefits, and development opportunities

  • Work with a collaborative team that values innovation and client service

If you're a fire engineering professional who loves technical work and enjoys building relationships, this role offers the perfect blend of both.
