Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Oshawa Elevation Centre three times per week, at minimum [depending on stakeholder needs].

Roles and Responsibilities
The Internal Communications Co Op Student will develop and organize internal communications and events for General Motors Canada to enhance communication effectiveness, employee engagement, and the company's reputation.
AREAS YOU WILL LEAD
Oversee content creation for internal communication channels and internal editorial calendar
Work collaboratively a variety of departments and committees (communications, HR, employee resource groups, engineers, etc.) on internal storytelling and events
Lead event management for internal events including the development of communications plans, messaging, media outreach, Q+A, leader briefs, run of show and detailed logistics planning
Lead or support internal events including Global Safety Week, Career Development Week, and other department initiatives
Support executive communications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or in 3rd or 4th year of study in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public relations or a related field or pursuing a master's degree
- Available for a 8-month term
- Superior writing skills & effective storytelling capabilities
- Exceptional project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Understanding of corporate priorities
- Relationship building prowess
