Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, formwork, finishing, and installing fixtures.
- Assist with general labour duties including site cleanup, material handling, and assisting tradespeople.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, challenges, and adjustments.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in carpentry and/or general construction work is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute to job sites in Deer Lake, NL.
