Description
We are looking for a certified Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business unit in Kamloops, BC.

In this role as a Field service technician, you will support our customers across multiple locations within our operating area and work at various mineral mine sites, performing diagnostics and repairs on both Cummins and non‑Cummins engines and equipment.

You will make an impact in the following ways
:

  • Establish and continually develop productive customer relations and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer site.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

Responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Red seal certification: OFF road certification is mandatory for these roles.
  • Valid local driver's license.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Significant field service work experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians is an asset.

About The Role

  • Random drug and alcohol testing on site to be expected.
  • Service vehicle and tooling are provided.
  • 7 shifts on, 7 shifts off - Days with occasional nights.
  • Position is safety sensitive.
  • Hourly rate: 58.18$ as per current CBA (Premiums are also associated to this role).
  • 12 hour shifts.
