Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial consultation to service completion. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their vehicle service needs
  • Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing accurate estimates using auto estimating tools
  • Write detailed service orders and communicate effectively with technicians regarding required repairs
  • Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, and transmission services
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining quality standards
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair timelines
  • Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business
  • Maintain detailed records of service history and customer interactions in the dealership management system

Experience

  • Previous dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, and auto body repair
  • Experience in auto estimating and service writing is advantageous
  • Proven ability in upselling automotive services while maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Familiarity with mechanic work or technician experience is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly to customers
  • Background in automotive sales or automobile sales is beneficial but not mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $33,689.40-$75,103.63 per year
