Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to lead our safety initiatives and ensure compliance across our worksites. This role plays a critical part in promoting a safety-first culture and protecting our most valuable asset, our people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety programs.
  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate incident investigations and ensure proper reporting and follow-up.
  • Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to employees.
  • Maintain compliance with provincial occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
  • Track and analyze safety metrics, trends, and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a safety role, ideally in construction or a related field.
  • Knowledge of OH&S legislation and safety management systems.
  • Strong communication, training, and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel to job sites as required.
  • Safety certifications such as COR, WHMIS, First Aid, or equivalent considered an asset.
