Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews, to determine appropriate acupuncture treatments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and health goals.
  • Perform acupuncture procedures using sterile techniques and precise needle placement to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Manage acute pain conditions through targeted acupuncture therapies such as trigger point therapy and pain management techniques.
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care, lifestyle adjustments, and the benefits of ongoing therapy for sustained wellness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Ensure all procedures adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

Skills

  • Valid CPR Certification and BLS Certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acupuncture practice.
  • Expertise in acute pain management, trigger point therapy, and other pain relief modalities.
  • Proficiency in patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and assessment.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations confidently while applying aseptic techniques during procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of anatomy knowledge necessary for accurate needle placement and effective treatment outcomes.
