What You'll Be Doing - Every Day is Game DayDepartmental Duties
Route Operations & Collection Services:Safely operate RR collection vehicles and complete daily routes on time.Load, sort, and secure donated items while following all transportation and safety protocols.Perform daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep trucks clean and operational.Maintain clean, safe bin sites by removing garbage and checking site conditions.Complete home pickups, store deliveries, and occasional vendor supply runs as scheduled.Safety, Compliance, & Reporting:
Follow all Ministry of Transportation regulations, fatigue management rules, and company driving policies.Use required PPE at all times and report hazards, incidents, or near-misses promptly.Accurately log driving hours and duty status in the ELD system.Complete safety checklists, inspection forms, and route documentation with accuracy.Communication & Team Support:
Provide professional, friendly service to donors, partners, and the public.Maintain clear communication with Dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route issues.Use scanning tools and route technology effectively to support operational efficiency.Collaborate with supervisors on bin maintenance needs, relocations, and field updates.What You Bring - Skills That Turn Heads
Minimum 3 years of experience driving 3–5-ton (18–24 ft) trucks.Minimum age requirement of 25 years as per insurance policy.Valid G-Class license with a strong, clean driving record.Reliable day-to-day commute and ability to lift, load, and move items safely.Comfort using scanning tools and route-navigation technology.High school diploma (or equivalent).Reliable mobile internet connection to operate job-related apps and software.
Additional Strengths That Make You Stand Out
Basic mechanical aptitude for minor on-route troubleshooting.Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle tough situations professionally.Strong time-management skills and an understanding of efficient route planning.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull rolling containers up to 500 lbs.Comfortable with long periods of driving that require alertness, stamina, and safe operation in extreme weather conditions.Exposure to dust, dirt, insects, garbage, and occasional rodents at collection sites.Work in noisy environments and withstand temperature changes indoors and outdoors.Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Regular interaction with donors, customers, vendors, and team members.Ability to stand for extended periods when loading/unloading or servicing sites.Why You'll Love Us - It's Not Just a Job—It's a Movement
