This is a part-time position, with 2–3 shifts per week (approximately 12–24 hours per week).

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a commitment to delivering high-quality baked goods. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Baker, you will play a vital role in creating delicious products that delight our customers.

Duties

  • Prepare sandwiches.
  • Prepare and bake a variety of goods (muffins, cookies, scones, cakes, etc.) according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all baked items meet quality and presentation standards before serving or packaging.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.

Qualifications

  • 2+ Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Availability to work on weekends.
  • Have a valid work permit to work in Canada.
  • Completed baking and/or pastry program (preferred).
  • Food safe certification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Familiarity with various baking techniques and equipment is essential.
  • A passion for cooking and creating unique baked goods is highly desirable.
