Duties

• Develop, design, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key performance indicators and business metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis utilizing SQL, R, Python, and other tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic initiatives.
• Manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate data integration from various sources such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Talend, and Looker.
• Support database design and optimization efforts to enhance data storage efficiency and retrieval speed.
• Apply project management principles within Agile frameworks to deliver analytics projects on time and within scope.
• Utilize SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices for developing scalable and reliable BI solutions.
• Leverage advanced analysis skills to interpret complex datasets, including linked data and unstructured information.
• Create documentation using Visio or similar tools for process flows, system architecture, and project specifications.
• Assist in the development of automation scripts using VBA or Bash (Unix shell) to streamline reporting processes.
• Stay current with industry trends by exploring new tools such as Tableau and Looker for enhanced visualization options.

Skills

• Proven expertise in Power BI with a strong understanding of dashboard creation and data modeling techniques.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server, Oracle databases, and ETL tools like Talend for data extraction and transformation.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python for advanced analytics and statistical modeling.
• Solid knowledge of business analysis principles to interpret requirements accurately and deliver impactful solutions.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or other visualization platforms is a plus for versatile reporting capabilities.
• Strong project management skills within Agile environments to coordinate multiple initiatives effectively.
• Understanding of SDLC processes for developing robust BI applications from conception through deployment.
• Database design experience ensuring scalable architecture for large datasets.
• Data analysis skills complemented by experience with linked data integration for comprehensive insights.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders using Visio or similar tools.
• Knowledge of VBA scripting for automation tasks; Bash scripting experience is advantageous for Unix-based systems.
