Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing advanced tools and schematics to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and assembly tasks
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides accurately
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality specifications
  • Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
  • Assist with vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for customer pickup
  • Support team members with technical guidance on complex repairs when needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic; experience is highly preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and services
  • Knowledge of automotive systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
  • Relevant certifications or ASE certification is a plus but not mandatory
  • Prior experience with vehicle assembly or working on complex schematics is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
