Job Skills / Requirements

  • Position:** Full Time Security Supervisor

  • Hours:** Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm
  • Pay Rate:** $ 22.25/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee guards' performance, providing clear direction and support
  • Enforce Health & Safety (OHS) standards and ensure compliance
  • Serve as the primary contact between guards, client, and management
  • Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and escalations
  • Ensure all site procedures, policies, and post orders are followed
  • Support onboarding, training, and site familiarization for new staff
  • Control plant entry/access and maintain accurate logs
  • Operate weigh scales
  • Manage documentation and customs control for contractors/drivers
  • Report safety non-compliances and incidents to the Ingredion representative
  • Assist with emergency response and first aid when required
  • Support Ingredion Health & Safety programs and procedures
  • Maintain professional relationships with employees, carriers, contractors, and visitors
  • Prevent, observe, detect, and report incidents
  • Identify and address conditions not aligned with good security practices
  • Follow additional practices as required by Ingredion

Prerequisites

  • 1–2 years of security experience (supervisory/site lead preferred)
  • Strong understanding of security operations, emergency procedures, and incident management
  • Knowledge of OHS legislation and safe work practices
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain composure during urgent or high-pressure situations
  • Ability to write clear, concise reports
  • Must wear 6-inch all-leather safety boots with ankle coverage
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C
  • Experience in a truck gate/warehouse environment
  • Physically able to cut truck bolt seals
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C

Valid Ontario Security License
