Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. A passion for technology sales and product demonstrations is a plus, as you will also assist customers with their inquiries and upsell products when appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience
  • Accurately handle cash transactions and process payments using the POS system
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers
  • Conduct product demos and provide technical sales support as needed
  • Upsell additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Familiarity with merchandising techniques and retail sales strategies
  • Proficient in using technology, including POS systems and other retail software
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
