We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of restaurant management, and customer service. This role requires a proactive approach to team supervision, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences in an upscale urban setting. The Floor Manager will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food safety, hospitality, and operational efficiency to ensure the success of the establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, shift management, and ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
  • Train and develop staff on food service procedures, customer service excellence, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through attentive service and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Oversee kitchen management tasks including food production, catering coordination, and banquet service when applicable.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen in accordance with health standards.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and overall restaurant management to meet operational goals.
  • Lead by example in hospitality management practices to foster a positive team environment.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food industry management with a background in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in full service dining environments.
  • Proficiency with POS systems ; cash handling expertise required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Effective staff training & development skills; experience in interviewing and team building preferred.
  • Ability to manage inventory control efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in shift management
  • Leadership qualities that promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the restaurant environment.
