Mulberry Bush Child Care Centre is currently seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our team.
This position is Monday to Friday, 9:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. (4 hours per day). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for up to 48 children, following established menus and recipes.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing meals and snacks according to provided recipes and menus
- Ensuring all food is prepared and handled safely and hygienically
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, including daily cleaning duties
- Creating weekly grocery lists based on menu requirements and inventory
- Following all public health and child care food safety guidelines
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to cleanliness and kitchen safety
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Food Handler's Certificate is considered an asset
- Reliability is a must
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a child care environment and takes pride in preparing healthy meals for children.
