Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in our cabinet manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, programming, and ensuring precision in the manufacturing process. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components while adhering to safety standards, working independently while also coordinating with other machine operators and plant labourers as an essential element of our manufacturing team.

Since 1987, Kutchin of Canada has been creating innovative and cost-saving solutions for cabinet makers, millworkers and kitchen manufacturers in London, Ontario and across the country. Kutchin offers RTA component parts, thermoform doors, finished and unfinished wood doors, fasteners and screws, cabinet accessories, decorative and functional hardware, European hardware and assembled cabinets to all market segments.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC routing/drilling machines with accuracy.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Select proper tools and adjust values as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols..

Experience

  • 1+ years experience working with CNC machines.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining and manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with WoodWop and/or similar software
  • Able to correctly use measuring tape and caliper
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Physically fit to lift a max of 50 lbs and to work at a steady pace.
  • Problem solving, organizational and team skills needed.
  • Willingness to continually learn
