In this role, you will provide:
- Assessments & Planning: Evaluate patients with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges to determine their ability to perform daily activities.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Design and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence in self-care, work, and leisure activities.
- Adaptive Strategies: Teach patients new techniques or recommend assistive devices to make everyday tasks easier.
- Environment Modification: Suggest changes to home or workplace environments to improve safety and accessibility.
- Education & Support: Train patients and families on exercises, equipment use, and coping strategies.
Qualifications:
What you need to have:
- University degree in Occupational Therapy
- Member of the Quebec Order of Occupational Therapists (OEQ) and Ontario College of Occupational Therapists (COTO), or eligible to register
- 1 - 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist; strong preference for candidates with pediatric client experience
- Professional proficiency in both English and French strongly preferred
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Driver's license and access to a vehicle
