Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for healthcare professionals
  • Manage patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
  • Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
  • Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry
  • Assisting during the assessment of patients with the Physical Therapist
  • Carrying out treatment programs under the direction of the Physical Therapist
  • Developing materials for use with patients, such as exercise handouts
  • Preparing equipment for patient use, such as mobility aids, wheelchairs, and exercise equipment
  • Documenting observations and patient progress

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred

- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care processes

- Knowledge of acute care procedures and protocols is a plus

- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
