We are opening a brand new Mr. Lube on 17th Ave in Calgary, Alberta and are looking for a Automotive Mechanic to join the team. We are locally owned and operated and are excited for you to join our growing team.
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where technical expertise and customer service skills are highly valued. Candidates should possess comprehensive mechanical knowledge and be proficient with hand tools, power tools, and automotive electrical systems. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are highly desirable.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using industry-standard tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs.
- Repair and service powertrain components including transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and ADAS components.
- Execute complex repairs involving engine overhauls, auto body work and welding as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate findings effectively to customers.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently to complete repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications for vehicle maintenance and repair.
Qualifications
- Must have a red seal certificate.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, Schematics, ADAS technology, diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain systems, alignment procedures, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, auto body repair, welding, and auto estimating.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
- Valid driver's license required
