Position Overview:

The Drywall Finishing Quality Control Specialist is responsible for working with our staff to help build and maintain strong relationships with clients by ensuring their needs are met with the expected of service that comes with working with Jetline. This role focuses on managing quality control during construction as well as post-construction services, addressing client concerns, and fostering long-term loyalty.

This individual will have worked in construction and has specific drywall finishing and taping experience and have previous experience with painting, boarding, and general construction work.

Responsibilities:

• Inspections: Conduct field inspections of quality on each job site once per week.
• Deficiency Management: Identifying, documenting, and directing repair of drywall/taping defects (e.g. Uneven joints, poor sanding, nail pops, knife or trowel marks, air bubbles or fisheyes, joint shadow lines, etc)
• Supervision: Once deficiencies are identified and communicated to the appropriate personnel, ensure work is completed in the desired timeline and workers understand how to better avoid the issues in the future.
• Review: Measure areas of completion to match to documented completion rates
• Documentation: Prepare deficiency reports daily for each inspection/visit. Ensure each document is provided with full explanation and to the appropriate parties.
• Collaborate with project teams to address and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to address post-construction concerns.
• Ensure all health, safety, security and WorkSafe B.C. procedures are adhered to, and areas of concern are reported to the management team in a timely manner

Requirements Include:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in drywall finishing specifically, and at least 2 years other experience in the drywall or painting industry
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the construction standards to which drywall finishing must adhere
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints. Proficient in digital drawing and reporting software (i.e. ProCore, Trimble, etc). Experienced with standard Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Core Skills: Client management, conflict resolutions, process improvement and reporting.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with organizational and customer service skills
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
• Punctual and reliable, committed and trustworthy
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Highly motivated and able to work independently

Salary Range:

We offer a competitive salary that reflects experience, skills, and market trends. The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on qualifications and professional background. Candidates with demonstrated success in similar roles, advanced expertise, or specialized certifications may be considered for compensation at the higher end of this range.
