About the Role
This position focuses on designing and maintaining cryptographic infrastructure that supports secure flight systems and engineering environments. You will work closely with cybersecurity experts, systems engineers, and tool development teams to enhance digital trust, code signing, secure workflows, and identity validation across mission-critical aerospace systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PKI and KMS architectures for internal tools and engineering operations.
- Manage certificate lifecycles, CA hierarchies, and revocation policies.
- Integrate cryptographic controls into CI/CD pipelines for secure builds and releases.
- Support authentication, encryption, and identity services across engineering platforms.
- Lead investigations involving certificate compromise or misuse.
- Ensure alignment with standards such as NIST and DO-326A.
- Evaluate emerging cryptographic technologies and upgrade legacy systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and support secure engineering enablement.
Ideal Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with deep PKI/KMS expertise.
- Strong experience with X.509, OCSP, key rotation, HSMs, and secure key storage.
- Hands-on experience integrating crypto tooling (smartcards, TPMs, automation platforms).
- Knowledge of secure software lifecycle, DevSecOps, and regulated environments.
- Familiarity with FIPS, NIST, DO-326A, and other compliance standards.
- Experience with Linux, Java/Groovy, Ansible, and secure release workflows.
- Understanding of Agile methods and internal tooling development.
