About the Role

As a
Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
, you'll architect, implement, and govern enterprise-grade PKI and KMS infrastructures supporting aerospace platforms, engineering environments, and secure DevSecOps pipelines. You'll collaborate across cybersecurity, systems, and risk management teams to enhance digital trust and resilience throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain
    PKI and KMS solutions
    for secure product development and operations.
  • Define certificate lifecycle management policies,
    CA hierarchies
    , and
    revocation protocols
    .
  • Integrate cryptographic functions into
    CI/CD
    and
    DevSecOps pipelines
    for secure boot, code signing, and configuration management.
  • Support encryption, authentication, and identity management across internal platforms and tools.
  • Lead investigations into certificate compromise or key misuse.
  • Ensure compliance with
    NIST
    ,
    DO-326A
    ,
    FIPS 140-2
    , and other aerospace standards.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging cryptographic technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of secure development and governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science
    ,
    Engineering
    , or related field.
  • 8+ years
    in cybersecurity with direct PKI/KMS experience.
  • Strong background with
    X.509
    ,
    OCSP
    ,
    HSM integration
    , and
    secure key storage
    .

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with
    smartcards
    ,
    TPMs
    , encrypted containers, and
    automation platforms
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Java/Groovy
    ,
    Linux
    , and
    Ansible
    .
  • Knowledge of
    secure software lifecycle
    and
    DevSecOps
    principles.
  • Familiarity with
    cryptographic compliance frameworks
    (NIST, DO-178C, FIPS).
  • Experience designing secure architectures in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, critical infrastructure).
  • Exposure to
    cloud and hybrid KMS deployments

  • Relevant certifications such as
    ECES

    GIAC GCF
