Role Overview

The Software QA Specialist is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of Android-based applications running on embedded/infotainment systems. This is a hands-on role focused on test automation, continuous testing, and CI/CD pipelines, working closely with developers, requirements teams, and program managers throughout the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases based on requirements
  • Design, automate, and execute tests within a continuous testing pipeline
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts and tools (primarily Python)
  • Perform code reviews, defect analysis, logging, and test reporting
  • Set up test environments across software, bench, and in-vehicle platforms
  • Conduct sanity, regression, and performance testing
  • Continuously improve QA processes and automation coverage

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of overall QA / software testing experience
  • 4+ years testing Android apps on embedded, infotainment, or mobile systems
  • 3+ years QA experience in the automotive or embedded systems domain
  • Strong test automation experience (2+ years scripting in Python; Java/Kotlin familiarity)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and QA methodologies
  • Experience flashing images and configuring embedded hardware
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, MOST, Ethernet) – plus
