Payrate: | $18.61/hour

Overtime Method: | Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours

Site Description:
The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital's emphasis on general medicine and general surgery reflects its role in providing core services. Specialists from Kingston regularly hold clinics at the hospital. The range and scope of those clinics continue to expand as the hospital grows. Emergency services, operating 24 hours a day, see in excess of 26,000 patients per year.

Job Description:

Proactive & reactive security patrols of main site and outlying facilitiesPatient WatchesResponse to incidents and interventionDe-escalationSurveillance monitoringReport writingInvestigate routine incidentsParking and smoking enforcement/by-lawsPolicy awareness and enforcementAdditional Duties as Assigned

Job Requirements:

Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience requiredValid Ontario Security LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved source)Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccinationA copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2) Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position. Steps to get your immunization records:

Immunization-Record-Ontario-Ability to complete extensive patrols, to sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shiftAbility to work alone and self-motivatedFluency in English (oral and written)Excellent communication and de-escalation skills is requiredMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally authorized to work in Canada
