We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanical assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling components in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all products meet quality standards. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.

Duties

  • Assemble components according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Fabricate parts as needed using hand tools and power tools.
  • Operate forklifts to transport materials within the shop safely.
  • Sanding and grinding of components prior to assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

· Assist in moving finished products to the quality control area for testing.

· Identify product defects or issues in assembly processes and report them to the lead hand or supervisors.

· Support other assemblers, lead hands, or supervisors as needed.

· Rework assembled components and products based on engineering- specified modifications.

Experience

  • Previous experience in assembly or fabrication is required.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, BOM's, product specifications, and understand tolerances to determine assembly operations.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, squares and measuring devices.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge is a must, enabling effective troubleshooting of assembly issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
