Bogdan's Tree Services Inc. is looking for an experienced ISA Certified Arborist/Tree Climber to join the crew.
We are a small but fast expanding tree company, passionate about trees and work towards well maintained urban forestry. We have a well established clientele that we have built based on providing respectful service at the highest possible quality level.
Bogdan's Tree Services believe in outstanding employees to be valuable assets for the company and reward them with good pay and a professional and respectful work environment. Safety is our key goal. We want to bring on board an employee with a good dose of experience that our team can build upon.
Responsibilities:
- Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a rope or ladder.
- Responsible for maintaining, preserving, inspecting, pruning and shaping trees to ensure they're in a healthy, safe and attractive condition.
- Properly maintain, operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws and chippers. Requests repair or replacement of equipment when necessary.
- Assume the role of a crew leader, direct the ground crew members.
- Assist the ground crew members in job site setup, debris removal and cleanup.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid ISA Arborist Certification
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience tree climbing.
- Knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimmer, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.
- Enforces on-the-job safety practices.
- Valid provincial driver's license. Present 3 years of clean driver abstract.
- Own climbing gear, PPE.
- Possesses the ability to lift and move 30-50 pounds.
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow.
Employment conditions:
- Wage $ $45.00/hour (Wage will be negotiated based upon experience)
- 40 hours per week on average
- Paid lunch break
Benefits:
- Health Spending Account after 3 months $ per season
- Safety glasses, gloves.
- Christmas Bonus based on work performance up to 80 hours of regular pay.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
