Days Inn Regina Airport is looking for a Permanent Experienced Full-Time Front Desk Agent. 8 hour shifts will include weekends as well as varying weekdays between the hours of 7am - 3pm and/or 3pm - 11pm. You must be able to work up to 40 hours/week. If you have a strong customer service background and/or hotel experience, we would like to hear from you. You must be a driven, self starter who is motivated and eager to learn. You will excel at customer service as you would be the first point of contact for arriving and departing guests. You must be friendly, love to smile, and exude Prairie Hospitality by making every guest feel warmly cared for and always welcome. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Recognizing and greeting the guests. Responding appropriately to information requests.

  • Using suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and advance reservations.

  • Promoting specified company marketing programs and ensuring customers know about amenities within the facility.

  • Operating the front desk office equipment such as switchboard and computer.

  • Checking in guests.

  • Making courtesy calls.

  • Accurately processing and controlling room reservations.

  • Completing paperwork necessary for front desk operation such as registration folios, credit card vouchers, cashier reports, room reports and prepaid reservation log.

  • Performing any tasks assigned by property management such as training of other employees, laundry.

  • Communicating issues to fellow co-workers and management.

  • Complying with the hotel's Occupational and Health Safety Guidelines and Regulations.
