Securiguard is accepting resumes for the position of Control Centre Operator for a high-profile job site in London, Ontario. Present opening is casual in nature, with opportunities to transition to full-time work upcoming.

Pay Rate: $22.13/hour

Job Description: As a Control Centre Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring access control systems, fire protection systems, CCTV, and elevators and the safety of the building. You will be logging information, dispatching the security and building operations staff accordingly, conducting various audits and ensuring that security patrol duties are completed. You will work closely with the security team to ensure all issues and emergency situations are addressed promptly and with care.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a control room operator/dispatcher
  • Education in Emergency Telecommunications is considered an asset
  • An understanding of the security industry is essential
  • Must be knowledgeable in various systems including but not limited to fire and life safety systems, CCTV, Access control systems, Intercom systems
  • Ability to communicate well and be understood
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and high volumes of calls
  • Must be reliable, of sound character and a team-player
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office and excel
  • Must be able to MULTITASK in a FAST-PACED environment
