Position Overview

Zedcor is seeking a Payroll Administrator who will be responsible for all payroll-related tasks within multiple provinces in Canada. An ideal candidate will have solid experience and knowledge of the end-to-end payroll process for a small or mid-sized company. This role will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the payroll process, recording of journal entries, month-end reporting, etc. This role will also support various HR-related tasks (onboarding, payroll system maintenance, etc). Working in a small, but growing team, this is a key role that will require a strong focus on adding structure and processes around this function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process payroll for all Canadian employees, utilizing Paybuddy and NetSuite
  • Record payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local payroll laws/regulations
  • Ensure the accurate and confidential maintenance of employee files, including all necessary documentation and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Assist HR department as required
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5 years of payroll accounting experience
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of general HR experience in a small/mid-sized company
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and remain objectives in all cases.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually (depending on experience)
