Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Amnor Powder Coating Full time

About Us

We're a commercial real estate development, general contracting, and property management company with multiple active properties and construction projects. Our team moves fast, takes pride in doing things properly, and values people who show up, solve problems, and leave a site better than they found it.

The Role

We're hiring a reliable, hands-on Handyman / Maintenance Technician to support our commercial portfolio and ongoing projects. You'll handle day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, minor renovations, tenant service requests, and site support—working across various commercial properties.

If you're the kind of person who can diagnose an issue, fix it cleanly, and communicate what you found without drama, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

Property Maintenance & Repairs

  • Complete general repairs: doors/locks, patching/painting, drywall repairs, ceiling tiles, minor carpentry, hardware installs
  • Basic plumbing fixes: leaks, fixtures, toilets, shut-offs (within your competency)
  • Basic electrical tasks: replace lights/ballasts/fixtures, switches/receptacles (where permitted) and help coordinate licensed trades when required
  • Troubleshoot common building issues (drafts, minor water ingress, damaged finishes, general wear-and-tear)

Preventative Maintenance

  • Routine inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, exterior conditions
  • Minor seasonal work: weatherproofing, caulking, small exterior touch-ups, signage mounting, minor concrete/asphalt patching coordination
  • Coordinate and support service vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, cleaning, snow removal) and escort when needed

Project & Site Support

  • Small demo, cleanup, punch-list items, material pickups/deliveries
  • Site readiness: housekeeping, basic safety setup, small fixes before inspections or tenant move-ins
  • Document issues with photos and brief notes for management

Must-Haves

  • 2+ years experience in commercial or residential maintenance / handyman work (commercial preferred)
  • Solid skills in basic carpentry, patch/paint, minor repairs, and general troubleshooting
  • Comfortable using common hand/power tools safely
  • Valid driver's license + reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication and follow-through (you close loops, not just tickets)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders, and handle physical tasks safely
  • Basic understanding of building systems (RTUs, thermostats, breakers, door hardware, basic plumbing lines)
