We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels' medical waste treatment facility in Brampton. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
What will your job involve?- Receiving and processing of the various waste streams.
- Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.
- Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
- Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.
- Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.
- Ensures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.
- Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor
- Forklift Operation - Training or certification would be an asset**
- Someone with a can-do attitude who is committed to efficient, timely scheduling that has previous experience in a labor-intensive job. A person with proven longevity with their employers that we can rely on.

- Consistent work hours – Availability to work 3:30PM - 2:00AM 4 days/week betweeen Mon-Fri and alternate Sundays during the day is required.

- Permanent position – This is a Full-time permanent role of 40+ hours per week
