With our sister company, BiziSul, already established in agriculture through fertilizer manufacturing, we are expanding our footprint and looking for a leader to strengthen and scale our agriculture service line into new markets.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Business Development Manager with strong Ariculture industry experience, solid trucking operations knowledge, and proven success securing new business throughout Central Alberta and Western Canada.
The Business Development Manager will lead Bizi's agriculture division, overseeing operations, business development, personnel, and service integration. This role is ideal for a working manager—someone who can operate at ground level with crews and customers, while also contributing strategically to diversification, market expansion, and service-line growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations for Bizi's agriculture service line
- Drive new business development across Central Alberta and Western Canada
- Integrate, streamline, and optimize service lines; Identify and introduce services into new markets
- Oversee trucking logistics, dispatching efficiency, routing, and asset utilization
- Develop personnel and build strong team performance
- Monitor production metrics and identify improvement opportunities
- Maintain compliance with transportation and environmental regulations
- Communicate clearly with operations, customers, and leadership teams
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while keeping long-term strategy in focus
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of operational and leadership experience within the agriculture industry
- Proven track record of winning new business, with the ability to pivot and keep long-term goals in focus
- Deep understanding of trucking operations outside O&G, with a knack for reducing deadhead miles
- Experience working with freight brokers, leveraging networks, securing 1-way freight
- Success in service diversification and multi-industry integration
- Skilled in sales logistics, contract negotiation, and customer relationships
- Strong leadership and team development abilities
- Excellent communication skills bridging field and executive levels
- Practical "working manager" leadership style; strong analytical and improvement-driven mindset
