Position Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Autodesk, you will be responsible for building and deploying cutting-edge machine learning solutions that personalize and enhance the customer experience across our platforms. You will work with large-scale datasets, collaborate cross-functionally, and apply state-of-the-art techniques to deliver intelligent, scalable systems. This role emphasizes hands-on ML development and deployment using the AWS stack. You will be collaborating with other teams in the Access domain, partnering with the Autodesk ML Platform team for tooling and infrastructure needs to deploy ML models and AI solutions for Access related workflows and use cases. If you are technically savvy and want to pave the way in ML/AI in use cases that have a direct customer and revenue impact, this is a role for you.

Responsibilities

  • ML Model Development: Design and build scalable machine learning models using large datasets to provide personalized recommendations, predictions, and classifications. Manage deployment for large-scale ML lifecycle on AWS, leveraging deep expertise to build scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions

  • End-to-End Data Pipeline & Deployment - Design, build, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines that support the full ML lifecycle leveraging cloud services

  • Software Engineering: Write maintainable code using frameworks such as Strands, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and LangChain/LangGraph. Integrate ML pipelines into CI/CD workflows

  • Platform Scalability: Design and implement scalable inference services for real-time and batch use cases

  • Model Performance Optimization: Test and improve model accuracy, efficiency, and speed. Monitor model health and maintain automated retraining

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with ML researchers, software engineers, product managers, architects, and operations teams to integrate ML into Autodesk products. Translate requirements into effective ML solutions

  • Productization of Research: Develop prototypes and reusable components to turn research into production-ready features

  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated with ML/AI trends, contribute to best practices and organizational learning​

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field

  • 1+ years of experience in building, deploying, and scaling ML models in production. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and LLM-related frameworks such as Strands and LangChain/LangGraph

  • Good understanding of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and data architecture

  • Experience with AWS services, including SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, and Step Functions

  • Ability to integrate ML pipelines into cloud-based systems and production applications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

  • Technical Communication: Clearly present findings and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on ML projects in cross-functional teams

  • Experience working on LLM-related application like agents with MCP or RAG implementations

  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles, including model explainability and fairness

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $90,400 and $132,550. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
