We're Hiring – Financial Operations Manager (Remote, Canada)About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-obsessed Financial Operations Manager to support our CFO and help keep REI Finance running smoothly.

This role blends financial analysis, process management, and client deliverable support — perfect for someone who loves systems, reporting, and seeing the big picture through the numbers.

You'll work directly with the Founder (a CPA and Fractional CFO) to ensure clients get accurate, insightful reporting and the firm runs efficiently behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Client CFO Support

  • Prepare monthly
    financial reporting packages

, KPI dashboards, and cash flow summaries.
- Review and organize financial data from bookkeepers for accuracy and completeness.
- Support
forecasting and budget prep

for clients.
- Track recurring deliverables, deadlines, and client communications.
- Maintain client documentation and reporting templates in Google Workspace.

Operations & Systems

  • Manage workflows and deadlines using
    ClickUp

.
- Streamline and document processes for month-end close and reporting.
- Support client onboarding and offboarding (checklists, systems setup, file management).
- Assist with internal projects like workflow automation, reporting templates, and process optimization.

Leadership Support

  • Partner directly with the Founder to prepare materials for client CFO meetings.
  • Coordinate between contractors (bookkeepers, VAs) and the CFO to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Help manage recurring internal reporting and quarterly planning.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting/financial analytics experience.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • CPA or CPB designation (preferred, in progress or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of
    small-business accounting

and Quickbooks Online
- Confident working in spreadsheets, dashboards, and forecasting templates.
- Communicates clearly and consistently

— both in writing and on calls.
- Analytics, organized, detail-driven, and
thinks like an entrepreneur

Work Structure

This role will begin as a
contract position (approx months)

for training and onboarding, and mutual fit, with the intention to transition into a
permanent, part-time role

and then potentially further into a
permanent, full-time role

should the firm continue to grow.

  • Remote position (Ontario preferred, Canada-based mandatory)
  • Hybrid compensation model based on education and experience
  • Flexible, family-friendly schedule
    (typical hours 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday)
