The Opportunity:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize our shipping operations. This role is a key point of contact across departments and channels to ensure both inbound and outbound shipments run smoothly. In this role, you will report to the Director of Supply Chain Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Quoting and Booking:
Obtain and book freight quotes across ocean, air, LTL, and local carriers for key inbound and outbound shipments.Provide internal departments with shipping support, including generating labels and quotes, while ensuring accurate, timely, and cost-effective shipping solutions.Inbound Shipments:
Create inbound shipment records in the ERP, maintain all required documentation, and provide supporting materials as needed.Verify inventory receipts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely closure of purchase orders in ERP.Outbound Shipments:
Provide support for outbound shipment inquiries across departments, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.Shipment Monitoring and Partner Communication:
Proactively track key shipments to identify and address potential delays. Maintain regular communication with carriers and shipping partners to resolve delivery issues.Manage user access for shipping accounts, including approving or rejecting requests to ensure appropriate usage and security.Claims and Compliance:
Monitor shipping claims submitted by Client Care, and submit claims for other departments as required.Assist with international shipping compliance, including use of HS codes and product descriptions, while maintaining the shared compliance file used across departments.Support compliance with shipping portals (i.e. CARM, ACE) and export declaration submissions (i.e. CERS, EEI/SED forms).Reporting and Analytics:
Assist in monitoring and tracking shipping costs, and ensure accurate reporting.Support identifying cost trends and flag potential risks or opportunities to the Director of Supply Chain Operations.Drive Operational Efficiencies:
Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with Operations, Wholesale, Customer Care, Finance, and Production teams.Refine workflow and identify opportunities to improve operational productivity, quality, and efficiency.Oversee creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of standard operating procedures pertaining to logistics.Team Member Expectations:

Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain support.Experience working with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and carriers across multiple shipping modes (LTL, air, ocean, and courier).Proficiency in ERP systems preferred, with experience in NetSuite considered an asset.Strong understanding of shipping documentation and international compliance requirements.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.Strong time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across multiple teams.Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.Adaptable, resilient, and capable of thriving under tight timelines and shifting priorities.Location:
We have flexible working arrangements for the team. This role will be in-office a minimum of 2 days per week.
