Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to consult on talent needs and manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle
  • Design and deliver effective assessment and selection strategies to support evidence-based hiring decisions
  • Provide market insights and strategic advice to guide realistic and competitive hiring approaches
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant hiring practices, including compensation guidance and offer management
  • Manage candidate evaluations, references, background checks, and onboarding in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines and promote the employer brand through networking and events
  • Leverage sourcing tools, labour market data, and vendor partnerships to support current and future hiring needs
  • Contribute to recruitment projects, process improvements, and data-driven talent acquisition initiatives
  • Deliver guidance and presentations on recruitment policies, systems, and best practices

Role Requirements

  • Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using recruitment analytics and market insights
  • Ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity, and shifting priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills with sound judgment and empathy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across all recruitment activities
  • Proven ability to assess candidate competencies and role fit using best-practice tools
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential HR matters
  • Experience in a unionized environment and working knowledge of relevant employment legislation
  • University degree in a relevant field (or equivalent)
  • 4–6 years of experience in human resources or talent acquisition
