Right now, we're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Oakville team.

Canoe Therapy is an interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team offering Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Behaviour Therapy. We take a holistic approach, considering the child and family as a whole and collaborating closely with their wider support network.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • 1–3 years of pediatric experience
  • Experience working with children with Autism
  • Training in feeding and handwriting
  • Prior experience in private practice
  • Post-graduate certificates or training in two or more of the following (or similar):
  • Ayres Sensory Integration
  • Therapeutic Listening
  • Astronaut Training
  • Alert Program
  • NDT (Neurodevelopmental Training)
  • CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance)
  • Orthopedic conditions
  • Neuro-motor / neuro-developmental conditions
  • Genetic conditions
  • Global Developmental Delay
  • Down Syndrome
  • Primitive Reflex Integration
  • Visual-motor skills assessment and treatment

About the Role

This role involves hands-on assessment, consultation, and treatment of children from birth to young adults, across all diagnoses — including children without a formal diagnosis.

While services are primarily clinic-based, sessions may also be delivered in home, school, or community settings.
