Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, attentive to detail, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This role is essential in helping the kitchen run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards.
  • Support line cooks and chefs in daily food prep tasks, including chopping, measuring, and organizing ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices at all times.
  • Help monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  • Support catering events and special meal preparations when required.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering environment is an advantage.
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks and learn new skills.
