Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while managing the daily calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date in the system.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist in coordinating laboratory tests and communicate results to clients when necessary.
- Keep the reception area tidy and organized, creating a pleasant atmosphere for clients and their pets.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor to interact effectively with clients and their pets.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer systems for scheduling, record keeping, and communication purposes.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in client information and billing processes.
- Laboratory experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week

- Stewiacke, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
